The simple sentence – it consists of a noun which is the subject and
verb which is the predicate. Subject is who or what the sentence is about.
Predicate contains a verb and states something about the subject.
Clause
Clause are the building blocks of sentences. A clause is a group of
words that contains (at least) a subject and a verb. Example : “ Ecology is a
science “.

Can stand alone as a sentence by
itself.
b. Dependent
clause (DC)
Can’t stand alone without IC.
